About us

SIEMACHA brings together many facilities, combining them into one organization with a diversified offering. The Association’s three pillars of activities – education, sports and therapy – reinforce one another, while the facilities, operating as one system, provide comprehensive assistance to children and their families.

For 30 years now, we have been operating 18 specialist facilities for almost 2,500 beneficiaries. The SIEMACHA Spot 24/7 facilities give children deprived of parental care a second home. Daytime SIEMACHA Spot facilities operate as the so-called modern playgrounds, i.e. spaces offering educational and therapeutic workshops, sports activities and an opportunity to just meet a fellow human.

Since 2018, SIEMACHA has been supporting seniors by running activity clubs for people over 60 years old (SIEMACHA Spot Nestor) and parents of young children (SIEMACHA Spot Parent).

We also operate three state-of-the art Com-Com Zone sports centers, the Equestrian Sports Center, as well as counselling and therapy centers under the umbrella name of the Kraków Psychotherapy Institute (KIP).

Our mission is to create open, resource-rich and learning communities based on free choice, honest dialogue and respect for principles.

Our activities merge what is critical in the development of every person: education, sports and therapy. Education, when combined with sports and therapy, grows potential and efficiency. In the context of upbringing and therapy, sports acquires an educational function. Therapy, on the other hand, when conducted concurrently with engagement in education and sports, becomes more accessible and freed from stigmatizing stereotypes.

The Association employs over 400 staff (including 200 full time) and operates in 30 locations across Poland. The organization’s head office is situated in Kraków, in a historic building located at 42, Długa street, in which in 1886 Father Kazimierz Siemaszko CM founded the “House of Refuge and Voluntary Work for Poor and Abandoned Boys.” It is from this tradition, initiated at the end of 19th century by Fr. Siemaszko, the distinguished educator and social activist, that our own operation began back in 1993.

SIEMACHA’s development is driven by the contemporary world’s growing demand for modern social welfare systems, as well as to disseminate the idea of social entrepreneurship, corporate social responsibility (CRS) and the so-called leadership 2.0 (ESG), which is tightly linked with responsibility for the environment in which enterprises operate.
